It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laurence S. Johnson (Granbury, Texas), born in Northwood, Iowa, who passed away on March 9, 2024, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Lawrence Johnson and Mabel Johnson (Stumo); his sister Carol Lou; his former life partner Jean Johnson (Dorr); and his siblings, Richard Johnson and Joann Julson.
He is survived by : his wife Margie Nelson (Nelson); his sister Sandra Empie (Johnson); his children, Claude, Sue Johnson (Hengesteg) of Coppell, Rene', Craig Rosenberg of Virginia Beach, Carrie and Frank Kline of Georgetown, Texas; his grandchildren, Lauren Bailey (Tyler), Kasey Watters (Austin), Luke Kline, Hannah Kline and Annie Cook; and his great grandchildren, Johnson Dale Bailey, Lincoln and Campbell Watters. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, March 30th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Wiley Funeral Home & Cremation Services – Granbury (400 W US Hwy 377, Granbury, TX 76048).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be given to the Pecan Plantation EMS.
