We are sad to announce that on March 23, 2024, at the age of 92, Barnette Cordray of Texarkana, Texas, born in Panola, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Calvin Yancy Cordray and Ava Brightwell Cordray; his wife Dorothy Brevard Cordray; and his sisters, Margie Cordray LaGrone of Deadwood and Joyce Cordray Suggs of Texarkana.
He is survived by : his children, Glenna Anne Cordray of Austin and Calvin Greg Cordray of Marshall; his daughter-in-law Kelly Hall Cordray; his grandchildren, Colby Cordray Pair (Brad) of Bullard, Keaton Cordray Windham (Taylor) of Texarkana, Calvin Cason Cordray of Farmington, Collier Greg Cordray of Frisco and Kenley Grace Cordray of Marshall; and his great grandchildren, Hamill Windham, Adalyn Pair, Audrey Pair and Ainsley Pair.
Visitation was held on Sunday, March 24th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Downs Funeral Home (4608 Elysian Fields Rd, Marshall, TX 75672). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 25th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Downs Funeral Home (4608 Elysian Fields Rd, Marshall, TX 75672). A burial was held on Monday, March 25th 2024 at the Youngblood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in his honor to Autism Speaks.
