It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Winona LaVerne Manire of Houston, Texas, born in Corpus Christi, Texas, who passed away on March 26, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, Neva Russell Vannoy and Fred Cox Vannoy Jr.; her spouse Ira Manire Jr.; her grandson Brian Bendele; her son-in-law Paul Kohlleppel; her sisters, Darlene (Gene Ward) and Maxine (Robert Fain); her brother-in-law Leonard Wilder; her brother Kenneth; her sister-in-law Delores Vannoy; and her brother Carroll Vannoy.
She is survived by : her children, Charles Manire (Ruth) of Sarasota Florida, Iris Kohlleppel of Houston Texas, Leona Leinweber (Bob) of Willis and Cynthia Bendele (Gerald) of Spring, Texas.; her sister Shirley Vannoy Wilder of Lake Butler; her grandsons, Chris Manire, Greg Leinweber and Chad Randolph; and her great grandchildren, Cody Slama, Duncan Leinweber, Brian Craig, Rayhan, Riyad, Kadin, Kais Elouaid, Lex, Max Bendele, Tyler, Carter Abdalla, Brayden Leinweber, Kameron and Layton Craig. She is also survived by her 4 children, 9 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 29th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sam Houston Memorial Funeral Home - Willis (10129 FM 1097, Willis, TX 77318). A burial was held on Friday, March 29th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Smith Memorial Park (10129 FM 1097, Willis, TX 77318).
