He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover "Toy" Marion Reed and Zethel Lee Chandler Reed; his son Scott Reed; and his brothers, E. O. Reed and Lawrence Reed.
He is survived by: his wife Jean Reed of Crowell; his children, Grover Reed of Crowell, Randy Reed (Mell) of Guthrie, Marshall Reed of Benjamin and Beth Reddin (Michael) of Baird; and his stepdaughter Misty Hibbs of Quanah. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Smith Funeral Home (104 Marietta St, Crowell, TX 79227). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Gilliland Baptist Church (3967 FM 1756, Truscott, TX 79227). A burial will be held on Thursday, April 10th 2025 at the Gilliland Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Gilliland Cemetery.
