It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Griffin in San Antonio, Texas, who passed away on April 12, 2025, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her children, Gail and Thad; and her husband James Brown Griffin. She is survived by: her children, Jimmy Griffin (Lucy Barnard), Jana (Mac Irwin), Debbie (Byron Bexley), Donna Griffin Grehn (Chuck) of Houston and Alyson (Dobie Weise); her grandchildren, Madison Lashley (Dexter), Miles Griffin (Becca), Paris McCloskey (Jason), Conor Irwin (Kalyn), Caroline McAnally (Hunter), Cole Irwin, Kristin McWilliams (Justin), Tyler Bexley (Louise), Justin Bexley (Laura), Jamison Bexley (Sereena), Riley Griffin, Callie Griffin, Jeremy Weise (Kate), Daniel Weise (Kelly), Kate Newman (Matt) and Trey Weise (Megan); and her great grandchildren, Boone Lashley, Mae Dorothy Griffin, Lucy Kate McCloskey, Grayson, Elliot, Campbell James Irwin, Reese, Blakely McAnally, Macy, Mallory McWilliams, Hunter, Charlie Bexley, Anna Bexley, Neela Bexley, Zaria, Anthony, Gabriel Weise, River, Sierra Weise, Evie, Peter, Abigail Newman and Olive Weise. She is also survived by her family, friends, and neighbors.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 25th 2025 at the Westmoreland Chapel at South Main Baptist Church (4100 Main St, Houston, TX 77002).
