She was predeceased by: her parents, Jose Baldomero Benavides and Virginia Benavides; her brother Jose Baldomero Benavides; her husband Candelario Deanda, Sr.; her daughter Andrea D. Solis; and her great grandchildren, Olivia Lopez and Candelario Hernandez Luna.
She is survived by: her children, Candelario Deanda, Jr. (Yolanda), Maria Cristina Rivera (Hector), Esiquia "Chica" Deanda and Virginia Hernandez (Hector). She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren, and her beloved pet.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Garza Memorial Funeral Home (1025 E Jackson St, Brownsville, TX 78520). A rosary was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Holy Family Catholic Church (2405 E Tyler St, Brownsville, TX 78520). A burial will be held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Buena Vista Burial Park (5 Mc Davitt Blvd, Brownsville, TX 78521).
