It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Hackler Slaughter of Levelland, Texas, who passed away on April 25, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her son-in-law J. L. Slaughter; her siblings, Bud Buckner, Herman Buckner, Patsy Buckner and Orell Radford; her daughters, Jeanettia Dudley (Ricky) of Levelland and Debra Lobstein (Glenn) of Lamesa; her siblings, Bedford Buckner of Richland Hills and Virginia Settle of Hurst; her grandchildren, Aaron Murcheski of Lubbock, Texas, Tracy Speigel (Drew) of Lubbock, Texas, Rebekah Slentz (Jake) of Melissa, Texas, Jonathan Dudley (Katie Angelos) of Roswell, Crystal Chapman (Kyle) of San Angelo, Texas, Lee James (Christen) of Tyler, Texas, Bruce Wilcox (Crystal Mata) of Smyer, Texas and Larkin Brown of Littlefield, Texas.; and her great grandchildren, Preston, Julie, Sienna, Caeley, Mason, Amri, Michael, Kendyll, Winton, Wyatt, Landry, Layton and Spencer.
She is survived by: her son Bruce Slaughter (Patti) of Levelland, Texas.; her grandchildren, Jody Slaughter (Amy) of Lubbock, Texas, Dusty Slaughter (Devan) of Levelland, Texas and Hayley Brown (Josh) of Levelland, Texas.; and her great grandchildren, Brooklyn, Logan, Cheyenne, Blake, Brynden and Quinn.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Ramage Funeral Directors (715 9th St, Olton, TX 79064). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 3rd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Olton Cemetery.
