He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruth Barbay and Roy L. Barbay Sr.; and his siblings, Roy Barbay Jr., Wallace Barbay (Dorothy), Clifford Barbay (Phyllis) and Mary Sonnier.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Barbay; his children, Kirk Barbay (Sheri) of LaBelle, Wendy Strange (Troy) of Buna, Lori Rogers (Philip) of LaBelle and Brent Barbay (Lorraine Lacour) of Lumberton; his grandchildren, Chase, Alaina, Beau, Chelsea, Brett, Hannah, Payton and Morgan; his great grandchildren, Wren, Riley, Wyatt, Parker, Evangeline, Truett, Tori and Mei; his siblings, Michael Barbay of Crosby and Beverly LaFluer of Nederland; and his brother-in-law W. J. Sonnier of Tyler. He is also survived by loving nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Melancon Levingston Funeral Home (1605 Avenue H, Nederland, TX 77627). A rosary will be held on Thursday, May 8th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (211 Hardy Ave, Nederland, TX 77627). A burial will be held on Friday, May 9th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
