He is survived by: his wife Joan McDonald Childress of Waskom, TX; his children, Samantha Childress of Minden, LA, Shelly Trost (Keith) of Marshall, TX, Amy Goodwin of Minden, LA, Christen Klick of Farmerville, LA, Landon Childress of Marshall, TX and Blade Childress (Carolyne) of Minden, LA; and his siblings, Betty Green of Haynesville, LA, Linda Breazeale (Wayne) of Hampton, AR, Chic Childress (Debora) of Homer, LA and Steve Childress (Shirley) of Haynesville, LA. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, May 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Shady Grove Cemetery (300 Shady Grove Rd, Haynesville, LA 71038).
