With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carolyn Cariker Hillin of Long Branch, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 17, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid adieu to Carolyn's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Carolyn has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Allen and Gladys Worley Cariker; and her sister Geraldine "Deanie" Brady. She is survived by: her daughters, Wendy Dodson of Long Branch and Misty Hillin of Long Branch; her grandsons, Cody Dodson (Skyllar) of Kilgore, Colton Dodson and Austin Roys; her great grandchild Cooper Dodson of Kilgore; her brothers, Allen W. Cariker (Bobbie) of Carthage and Don R. Cariker (Janice) of Longview; and her brother-in-law Pete Brady of Carthage. She is also survived by six nephews and their families; a large extended family; and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Jimerson-Lipsey Funeral Home (1131 TX-149, Carthage, TX 75633). A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Long Branch Cemetery (688 Co Rd 155, Long Branch, TX 75669).
