We are sad to announce that on May 18, 2025, at the age of 82, Fara Maurine Hanks of Silsbee, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Cleveland and Fara Opal Hicks Coward; and her brothers, Claude Coward, Glen Coward, Joe Coward and Royce Coward.
She is survived by: her husband Harold Dean Hanks of Silsbee; her daughters, Connie Dacus (Joe) of Beaumont and Karyn Gravis (Bruce) of Evadale; her grandchildren, Rachel Hellums, Kara Rowles, Zachary Gravis, David Dacus, Anna Moore and Kimberly Wilgers; and her great grandchildren, Malyki, Micah, Lucy, Matthew, Mason, Blake and Charlie.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home (113 W Holly St, Woodville, TX 75979). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Funeral Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel (113 W Holly St, Woodville, TX 75979).
