He was predeceased by: his parents, Ed Thigpen and Susie Thigpen; his former wife Bernice Thigpen; and his son Michael Wayne Thigpen. He is survived by: his wife Dottie Thigpen of Texarkana; his daughter Debra Thigpen of Wake Village, Texas; his stepdaughters, Connie Livsey of Bloomfield Hills and Janis Livsey of Dallas, Texas; his sister Carolyn Fuller of Garland, Texas; his granddaughter Michelle Aaron; and his son Alan Hamblett. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Texarkana Funeral Home (3515 Texas Blvd, Texarkana, TX 75503). A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Hillcrest Memorial Park (5101 W 7th St, Texarkana, TX 75501).
