He was predeceased by: his parents, J. C. Brown and Marilyn Elizabeth Brown (Mullins); his in-laws, Robert and Lila Goins; and his brother-in-law James Mosely.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Brown of Silsbee Texas; his children, Jeanette Marie Tyler (Scott), Sherrie Dawn Salas (Juan F.) and Robert James Brown (Jesse); his siblings, Peggy Mosley, Deborah Hendley (Wayne) and Larry Brown (Diane); and his grandchildren, Robert E. Brown, Isabella Salas, Elena Salas, David Trahan, Brian Trahan, Justin Tyler and Toby Tyler.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Crowder Funeral Home (851 Farm to Market 517 Rd W, Dickinson, TX 77539). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Dayspring Church (2221 FM 646 Rd, Santa Fe, TX 77510).
