He was predeceased by: his parents, John Alfred and Susan Ruth Hamilton (Hall); and his siblings, Harry, Joe, Merle Ray, Fred, Sam, Gary and Nelda Brady.
He is survived by: his wife Jerry; his sons, Greg Hamilton (Sam) of Jacksonville, Mike Hamilton of Jacksonville and Brian Hamilton of Jacksonville; his brother Mel Hamilton (Pat) of Texarkana; his siblings-in-law, Dianne Hamilton of Jacksonville, Linda Hamilton of Troup and Mervyn Brady of Tyler; his grandchildren, Brandon Hamilton, Taylor Hamilton, Bradley Hamilton, Cobie Hamilton, Mattilynn Ethridge and Sadie Hamilton; and his great grandchildren, Cain Ethridge and Saylor Ethridge. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 30th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Autry Funeral Home - Jacksonville (1025 E Loop 456, Jacksonville, TX 75766). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 31st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
