He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence "Boy" Derrick and Minnie Mae Marshall Derrick; his siblings, Bonnie Sue Sandhoff (Dub) and Charles Harvey Derrick "Poochie"; and the mother of his children Suzanne Pitcher Derrick "Suzie".
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Sue Derrick of Waco; his children, Amy Derrick of Waco, Kristi Ziegelt (Kyle) of Lorena, Patrick Freyer (Erin) of Rogers, Arkansas and Aimee Freyer White (Brandon) of Dripping Springs; his siblings, Doyle Gribble of Otto and Linda Derrick of Woodway; his grandchildren, Konner Ziegelt, Chloe White, Kameron Ziegelt and Danielle White; his pet BoJangles "BJ"; and his nieces and nephews, Debra Adamek, Beth Derrick Davis (Eric), Evelyn Cervenka, Kenneth Sandhoff (Kim), Ronnie Sandhoff and Charles Derrick (Dawn). He is also survived by many other family members and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Grace Gardens Funeral Home & Crematorium (8220 Woodway Dr, Woodway, TX 76712). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Brazos Meadows Baptist Church (625 S Hewitt Dr, Hewitt, TX 76643).
