With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Wayne Strickland of Alvin, Texas, who passed away on June 4, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Victor J. Strickland and Alice Lorraine Strickland (Gibson); and his father-in-law Charles Russell. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Anne Coats of Alvin; his children, Vince Strickland (Denise) of Angleton, Joanne McWhorter (Danny) of Angleton and Jason Strickland (Natasha) of Pearland; his siblings, Vicky Kellen of Alvin, Phyllis Hatcher (Wayne) of Bryan and Neil Strickland (Janie) of Raymond; his grandchildren, Brittany McGill (Marshall), Chase Strickland, Heather Dannhaus (Jared), Lauren Ashley Strickland and Jessica Erin Strickland; and his great grandchildren, Hunter, Holly, Hayden, Hudson McGill and Jace Dannhaus.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Palms Funeral Home (2300 E Mulberry St, Angleton, TX 77515).
