It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Hershel F. Lawson of Jasper, Texas, born in San Augustine, Texas, who passed away on June 5, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Lawson and Ruby Lawson; his wife Ida Lawson; his son Robert Christopher Lawson; and his siblings, Milton Lawson, Raymond Lawson, Alton Lawson, Carroll Lawson, Maxie Lawson, Joy Watson and Joan White.
He is survived by: his children, Aubrey Neil Lawson of Ennis, Sydney Allen Lawson (Dianne) of Kountze, Texas and Sheila Lawson of Jasper, Texas; and his grandchildren, Justin Allen Lawson, Tyler Stephen Lawson, Chelsea Fayth Whittington, Deacon Young and Chad Lawson. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Stringer and Griffin Funeral Home - Jasper (2577 N Wheeler St, Jasper, TX 75951). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, June 7th 2025 at the Jacks Cemetery.
