She was predeceased by: her parents, Barney G. Gunnels Sr. and Onie Gunnels (Carroll); her husbands, Keith O'Neal and Shorty Trussell; her siblings, Bob Gunnels, Barney Gunnels, Irma Gunnels and Doug Gunnels; her brothers-in-law, Clyde Tyer and Ken Stone; and her great grandchild Karlee Harris.
She is survived by: her children, Kim Newman (Blaine) of Murchison, Stephanie Fields of Mesquite, Keisha Jackson (Matt) of Murchison and Wesley Trussell of Tyler; her grandchildren, Kyle Harris (Olivia), Kolton Harris (Anna), Kanyon Harris, Kaleb Mandeville, Kendra Wakeham, Jasmine Wakeham of Mikey Fields, J. C, Mattie Jackson and Matthew Keith Jody Jackson; her great grandchildren, Kole, Kason, Sophia, Kamryn, Elianna, Tinlee, Titus, Tanner and Ella Harris; and her siblings, Roy Gunnels (Stacie), Rickey Gunnels (Pam), Marie Payne, Barbara Tyer and Joy Stone.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home (842 NE Loop 7, Athens, TX 75752). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Hannigan Smith Funeral Home Chapel (842 NE Loop 7, Athens, TX 75752). A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 2nd 2025 at the Oaklawn Memorial Park Cemetery (3100 FM317, Athens, TX 75752).
