He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Alvin Perkins and Dr. Ethel Lee Duncan. He is survived by: his wife Cathy Perkins; his children, Segandra Jones, Shalonda Jones, Sharee Perkins and Jonathan Louis Perkins Jr.; his grandchildren, Japperion Keppard, Angell Keppard, Tatiana Keppard, Hope Jones and Mekkiyah McLemore; his great grandchildren, Aubrie and Hezekiah; his sisters, Karen Perkins, Lorrie Patillo (David) and Ivy Perkins (Cliff); his siblings-in-law, Cedric Rogers (Denise) and Pamela Jackson; and his god-sister Connie Cooper-Hall.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Rosewood Memorial Funeral Home (1601 Redmon Rd, Longview, TX 75602). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Red Oak Baptist Church (2717 S Martin Luther King Jr Blvd, Longview, TX 75602). A burial will be held on Saturday, July 5th 2025 at the Jordan Valley Memorial Park (713 Jordan Valley Rd, Longview, TX 75604).
