With profound sadness, we say goodbye to David Marion Gillis (Kilgore, Texas), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. David Marion left this world on July 8, 2025 at the age of 80, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Alice Hobbs Gillis and John Allen Gillis. He is survived by: his siblings, John Melton (Dallas), Thomas Malcom (Longview) and Melvin (Anchorage); his sons, Jeffery David (Peggy Sue), John William (Cindy) and Jason Heath (Sherry); and his wife Judy Lynda Fears. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Trinity Baptist Church (5041 Estes Pkwy, Longview, TX 75603). A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, July 11th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Elderville Cemetery.
