It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jimmy Dale Dorsey of Denison, Texas, who passed away on July 14, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Miffie Louannie Dorsey and Dale Dorsey; and his brother Royce Dorsey. He is survived by: his wife Rhonda Dorsey; his children, Tammy Lancaster (Jaimie), Lisa Smith (Ben), Jimmy Dorsey Jr. (Ryan) and Katie Gilmore (Marshall); his grandchildren, Jonathan Lancaster, Lyssa Tilus, John William Lancaster, Madison Honeywell, McKayla Smith, Brooke Dorsey, Ryland Smith, Cole Dorsey, Grant Gilmore, Laura Gilmore and Lydia Gilmore; his great grandchildren, Braxton Dorsey and William Lancaster; and his siblings, Martha Fujita, Laura Kurtz, David Dorsey and Evelyn Branch (Henry). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, along with many extended family members and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Grayson Bible Baptist Church (4400 US-82, Sherman, TX 75090). A burial will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at the West Cemetery Pavilion (1304 W Lamar St, Sherman, TX 75092).
