He is survived by: his wife Sarah Payton Haggerty; his daughters, Karen, Jacqueline and Cherise (Darrell); his granddaughter Bianca; his siblings-in-law, Mary Batts, Olevia Payton, Florita Fairley, Augustine Payton and Edward Briggs; and his friend Charles. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 10:45 AM to 11:00 AM at the Houston National Cemetery (10410 Veterans Memorial Dr, Houston, TX 77038). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Brookside Funeral Home (13747 Eastex Fwy, Houston, TX 77039).
