As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Ruthie may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Dolphus Adlee Cummings and Janie Ruth Cummings (Jackson); her husband Joe Cameron; and her brother Charles W. Cummings I (Bubbie). She is survived by: her aunts, Mozzell Sharp of Dallas, TX and Emma Sykes (James) of Jefferson, TX; her sibling's children, Charles Cummings II (Amanda) of Marshall, TX, Matthew Cummings of Marshall, TX and Jennifer Crowston (Tony) of Daingerfield, TX.; and her close friend Carolyn Weeks.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Welborn Funeral Home (2256 N Edwards Ave, Mt Pleasant, TX 75455). A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 15th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Liberty Hill Cemetery.
