He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Mason and Maria Mason; his son Blake Mason; and his stepdaughter Alison Terry. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Mason; his daughter Vicki Maddox (Ernie); his stepson Dave Williams (Dena); his sisters, Jane Waldron, Darlene Sheppard and Nancy Skillern (Mike); his grandchildren, Chris Terry, Korey Terry, Katelyn Phillips (Marshall), Taylor Maddox, Mason Maddox, Gunner Mason, Rachel Batie (Lane) and Gabby Williams; and his cousin Alisha Holmes.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 19th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home (905 S Commerce St, Overton, TX 75684). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 19th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, August 19th 2025 at the Mason Cemetery (21800 County Rd 252, Arp, TX 75750).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nub's memory to Hospice of Enhabit Hospice in Tyler, whose care and compassion were a comfort in his final days.
