He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Turppa and Alice McKenzie Walker; his son William Todd Turppa; and his grandson Thomas "Chompers" Turppa. He is survived by: his wife Mary Helen Turppa; his children, Thomas Neal Turppa and Karen Turppa Swisher; his son-in-law Thomas E. Swisher; his grandchildren, Andrew, Brandon, Destiny and Kyle; and his great grandchildren, Lexiss, Julianna and Uziah.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 19th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 3:00 PM at the Stewart Family Funeral Home (7525 Old Jacksonville Hwy, Tyler, TX 75703). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 19th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
