He is survived by: his wife Peggy Nix; his daughter Catherine Payton (Mike Payton); his grandchildren, Dustin Freeze, Caden Payton, Michael Payton and Westin Payton; his stepchildren, Sonya Trlick (Brian Trlick) and Charles Nix, Jr.; his stepgrandchildren, Easton Trlick and Aurora McCain; and his nephew James Peterson (Barbara Peterson).
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Charlie Marshall Funeral Homes and Crematory - Rockport (814 E Main St, Rockport, TX 78382). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:15 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Rockport Cemetery (2040 Tule Park Dr, Rockport, TX 78382).
