He is survived by: his father Ben Petty; his wife Karen Petty of Comanche; his children, Jeffrey Don Petty of Tolar, Christina Lynn Cavasa of Lipan, Gregory Keith Petty (Kim) of Bluff Dale, Stan Hicks (Debbie) of Early and Jennifer Rucker (James) of Comanche; his siblings, Mark Randall Petty of Mineral Wells, Annette Montgomery of Possum Kingdom and Melissa Montgomery of Granbury; and his grandchildren, Tyler Petty (Andrea) of Tolar, Dylan Petty of Dallas, Kendall Cavasa of Lipan, Joshua Rucker, Jaxson Rucker of Comanche and Chelsea Button (John David) of Gustine.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Heartland Funeral Home of Comanche (1508 N Austin St, Comanche, TX 76442). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Heartland Funeral Home (1508 N Austin St, Comanche, TX 76442). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Sardis Cemetery (540 Co Rd 313A, Comanche, TX 76442).
