She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Jack Merritt and Doris Laverne Lewis Merritt; her husband Terry Otis Evans; her daughter Windy Gail Pace; and her siblings, Eloise LaBorde, Earline Krous, Elizabeth Parker, Roger Merritt and J. L. Merritt.
She is survived by: her son Butch Phillips (Linda); her brother Boby Raymond Merritt; her granddaughter Serena Nicole Pace; and her great grandchild Dawson Ray Pace. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 23rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home (303 E Crockett St, Cleveland, TX 77327). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pace-Stancil Chapel (303 E Crockett St, Cleveland, TX 77327). A burial will be held on Sunday, August 24th 2025 at 3:30 PM at the Farley Chapel Cemetery (5241 FM 2666, Shepherd, TX 77371).
