With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joe Weldon Christina in Corpus Christi, Texas, who passed away on August 22, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph "Joe" James Christina and Frances Miller; his brothers-in-law, Keith Collier, Jr. and Francis Holt; and his great grandchild John Weldon Heins.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Kay Collier; his children, Cheri Christina Stith (Russell) of San Antonio, Joe Weldon Christina, Jr. (Stephanie) of Corpus Christi and Dr. Craig Collier Christina (Tracy) of Dallas; his grandchildren, Christina Stith Heins (Marshall), Marycarolyn Stith Mattingly (Taylor), Russell Sutherland Stith, Catherine Christina Georges (Connor), Caitlyn Nicole Christina, Victoria Christina Welpman (Garret) and Garrett Andrew Christina; his great grandchildren, Tripp, Harrison Heins, Meredith Mattingly, Samuel Welpman and Rory Georges; his sister Frances Holt Wittenberg of Little Rock; and his siblings-in-law, Julian "Butch" Collier (Susie) of San Antonio and Alma Jean Collier of Corpus Christi. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (3115 Ocean Dr, Corpus Christi, TX 78404).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church or the charity of one's choice.
