He was predeceased by: his parents, William Salah and Ivy Dee Bassett; his wife Linda; and his brother Ronnie. He is survived by: his sister Delores (Mike Toon); and his sons, William "Allan" (Carrie), Joseph "Brian" (Tara) and Stephen Craig (Lauren). He is also survived by his several cousins, seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 2nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors (2495 Corsicana Hwy, Hillsboro, TX 76645). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 3rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (301 Old Brandon Rd, Hillsboro, TX 76645).
