With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shari Ann Nelson of Tyler, Texas, who passed away on September 2, 2025 at the age of 84. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Reubene Newby and Geneva Newby. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Nelson; her children, Scott Nelson (Susan) and Neisha Nelson Hootman (Joe); and her grandchildren, Shea Nelson, Stefanie Smith Moffett, Samantha Smith, Samuel Hootman, Susannah Hootman Trunick, Sarah Hootman and Sophia Hootman.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Nelson & Company Cemetery (11 S Pecan, Hughes Springs, TX 75656).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to East Texas Food Bank in Shari Nelson's memory.
