He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Edward Ellis, Sr. and Martha Cain; his brother Bob Ellis; his sisters-in-law, Sandy Ellis and Jeri Ellis; his grandson Tyler Jordan Harris; and his former wife Elizabeth Allyne Wells Ellis.
He is survived by: his wife Juanita Alice Ellis; his children, Bill Ellis (Angie), Lori Baker (Austin), Michael Compton (Patricia Cosman) and Michele Conard; his grandchildren, Case Ellis, Trace Ellis, Brantley Ellis, Levi Baker, Dylan Conard, Kylee Conard and Cali Baker; his brothers, Larry Ellis (Carol), Donnie Ellis (Becky), Ralph Ellis and Frank Ellis (Deborah); and his pet Hank Ellis. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Viewing will be held on Saturday, September 6th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Chapel of Horn-Nail-Haggard Funeral Home (400 Webb St, Daingerfield, TX 75638).
In lieu of flowers the family askes that donations be made in his memory to the East Texas Food Bank of Gilmer, Texas.
