With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mack Walsh of Marshall, Texas, born in Winnsboro, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 2, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin McMullen and Laura McMullen; his sister Mary McMullen Ammonette; his wife Jeannie; and his son Randy.
He is survived by: his children, Rick Walsh (Terri) and Rachelle Daniel (Michael); his grandchildren, Dustin Walsh (Tasha), Victoria Walsh (Landrian), Sydney Walsh, Jadin Britt, Kaitlyn Borchardt (Trent), Kyle Walsh, Riley Walsh, Malia Burks (Drey) and Jelani Daniel; and his great grandchildren, Nola Tucker, Rigel Burks, Emilia Zapata and Ezra Burks. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 7th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Downs Funeral Home (4608 Elysian Fields Rd, Marshall, TX 75672). A celebration of life was held on Monday, September 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Friendship Baptist Church (1140 FM1186, Marshall, TX 75672). A burial was held on Monday, September 8th 2025 at the Gill Cemetery (1140 FM1186, Marshall, TX 75672).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Jeannie Walsh Memorial Music Fund at Friendship Baptist Church.
