He was predeceased by: his parents, Ella Modrall Raney and Julius Sampson Raney. He is survived by: his wife Ida Lou; his sons, Ronnie Raney (Melody) of Pearland, TX, Tim Raney (Phyllis) of Odessa, TX, Brent Raney (Annette) of Purcellville, VA, Bryan Raney (Yesenia) of Wichita, KS and Hugh Raney (Nancy) of Big Spring, TX.; and his grandchildren, Jason, Shelly, Chris, Nancy, Frankie, Mandi, Austin, Sierra, Tyler, Britney, Bryan Jr., Bryanna, Anissa, Lori, Dristen, Bianca, Samantha and Gracie.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Myers & Smith Funeral Home & Chapel (301 E 24th St, Big Spring, TX 79720).
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to Trinity Baptist Church Missions, The Heritage Museum of Big Spring, or a charity of your choice.
