He was predeceased by: his mother Hettie Clarice Alford. He is survived by: his father Sam Truitt Alford; his daughter Lori Brown; his wife Charlotte Jean Alford; his son-in-law Scott Brown; his grandchildren, Conner Brown, Brailey Bean (Heston) and Sloan Brown; his siblings, Kathy Thompson (Ken) and Fred Alford (Sharon); and his siblings-in-law, Tricia Thompson (Larry) and Tommy Tompkins. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other extended family members and cherished friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Autry's Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home (1910 E Tyler St, Athens, TX 75751). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Monday, September 22nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Dallas Ft Worth National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211).
