It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Carmeans-Vickers of Alvin, Texas, born in Sidon, Mississippi, who passed away on September 16, 2025, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her former husband Edward Carmeans; her husband Sam Vickers; her daughter Pamela Yarbrough; her parents, Peyton Peeples and Venise Peeples; and her siblings, Ethel Dean Peeples, Peyton Peeples and James Peeples.
She is survived by: her sons, Donald Carmeans (Robin), Terry Carmeans Sr. (Kathy) and Keven Carmeans; her brother LeRoy Peeples (Sandra); her son-in-law Tim Yarbrough; and her grandchildren, Chase Carmeans (Jackie), Chad Carmeans (Marci), Terry Carmeans Jr. (Tanya), Faith Burnett (Sean), David Mullins (Danielle), Nicole Bridjohan (John), Johnathan Carmeans and Tyler Carmeans. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; along with numerous extended family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Scott Funeral Home (1421 E Hwy 6, Alvin, TX 77511). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu flowers memorials can be made in Mary's honor to Heights Baptist Church in Alvin or to the Alzheimer's Association.
