It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mergie Lee Farr of Abilene, Texas, who passed away on September 21, 2025, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Mergie Lee Farr to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Lee Landgraf and Tennie Rutherford Landgraf; her husband Billy P. Farr; her siblings, Leo, Nelson, Ronnie Landgraf, Rosalie Eldridge and Laverne O'Steen; her siblings-in-law, Melvin Farr, Jr., Art Northrop and Merl Northrop; and her grandson Billy Craig Dennis.

She is survived by: her children, Ramona Tyler (Rod) of Gainesville, TX, Brenda Amyx (Curtis) of Nocona, TX, Phyllis Coffey (Jimmie Dean) of Springville, IN and Calvin Farr (Deanna) of Callisburg, TX; her grandchild Dalinda Damm (Phil) of Savery, WY; her children, Christa Barlow (Jarrod) of Springville, IN and Cody Coffey (Emily) of Springville, IN; her great grandchildren, Landon Barlow, Morgan Damm, Reid Damm, Charlotte Coffey and Laryn Barlow; her sister Lydia Gumm (Charles); and her siblings-in-law, Tammy Landgraf, Harold O'Steen and Terry Eldridge. She is also survived by 17 nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the J. Carroll and Son Funeral Home (602 Lindsay St, Gainesville, TX 76240). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, September 24th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Mount Olivet Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Concho Hearts Hospice of Pilot Point (1016 N Industrial Blvd., Pilot Point, TX 76258) in memory of Mergie or a favorite charity of your choice.
