With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wylma Kay Howell (Tyler, Texas), who passed away on April 13, 2026 at the age of 93. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Wylma may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Noel Lukens and Golda Lukens. She is survived by: her husband Joe; her daughter Sharon Kay Howell; her brother Jerry; her sister-in-law Judy Howell of Carterville; her grandsons, Reed and Eric Burdette; Ollie. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Thursday, April 16th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Pines Cemetery (7825 S Broadway Ave, Tyler, TX 75703).
The family graciously declines flowers and requests memorials to Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, TX 75701, for their outstanding care, love and support given Kay and Sharon during her brief stay.
