He is survived by: his wife Maria Guadalupe Castillo of Piedra; his children, Luis Alberto Piedra Castillo, Maria Guadalupe Piedra Castillo and Priscila Pamela Piedra Castillo; his brother J. Luis Piedra Silva; and his sister-in-law Sheila Guajardo. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, June 11th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Hawthorn Funeral Home Chapel (307 W Wellington St, Carthage, TX 75633). A rosary was held on Thursday, June 11th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, June 12th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. William of Vercelli Catholic Church (4088 NW Loop #436, Carthage, TX 75633).
