It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gordon R. Sonstroem of Bristol, Connecticut, who passed away on January 3, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Gustave Sonstroem and Elfreida Sonstroem (Jabs); and his brother Rolland Sonstroem. He is survived by : his sons, Barry Sonstroem of Bristol, Timothy Sonstroem (Linda) of Burlington, Jeffrey Sonstroem (Laurie) of Bristol and Jaime Sonstroem (Andrea) of Virginia; his grandchildren, Joel Sonstroem (Kristy), Amy Mularczyk (Artur), Emily Sonstroem-Seagraves (Dylan) and Rebecca Skirkanich (Michael); his great grandchildren, Luke, Marion and Hayden; his sisters, Beverly Zahnke of Bristol and Joyce Killiany (Dick) of Bristol; and his brothers-in-law, Harry Hintz (Janice) of North Carolina and Andy Wilken of New Mexico. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 9th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (154 Meadow St, Bristol, CT 06010). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations honoring Gordon's life can be made to Immanuel Lutheran Church and School.
