It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Alma Smith of Wolcott, Connecticut, born in Waterbury, Connecticut, who passed away on January 3, 2024, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband Willard C. Smith; her close friend Richard Halbwachs; and her parents, Peter Hock and Katherine Hock (Becker). She is survived by : her children, Carley (Pat Lerz) of Wolcott, Timothy Smith of Wolcott and Robin Smith (Palma Recchia); her grandchildren, Mari Lerz (Jose Sandoval) of Danbury, Katie O'Connor of Middlebury, Rebecca Bavelas of Naples, FL, Sarah Lerz of Wolcott and Patrick Lerz (Erin Lerz) of Wolcott; and her great grandchildren, Jillian, Raeghan, Benjamin, Grace, Joseph and Jacob. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 15th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Woodtick Memorial (420 Woodtick Rd, Wolcott, CT 06716). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 15th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the Wolcott Congregational Church (185 Center St, Wolcott, CT 06716).
