He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon and Marian Swieringa (Ivins); his brother Dale Swieringa; and his nephew David Andrejczyk. He is survived by: his siblings, Rose Andrejczyk and Charles Swieringa (Maureen Maus); his nieces and nephews, Sean, Jason, Chip Swieringa, Tom Andrejczyk, Tina Swieringa, Erin Coughenaur and Alyssa Burry (Stephen); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Brayden, Kaylee and Grayson.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Riverview Funeral Home (390 River Rd, Shelton, CT 06484). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Black Rock Church (3685 Black Rock Tpke, Fairfield, CT 06825). A burial will be held on Tuesday, May 5th 2026 at the State Veteran Cemetery (317 Bow Ln, Middletown, CT 06457).
