With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Carol Hammeal of Branford, Connecticut, born in Hartford, Connecticut, who passed away on January 7, 2024 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joan Carol Hammeal to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by : her husband Bob; her parents, George Tamaccio and Helen Emley Tamaccio; and her brother David Tamaccio. She is survived by : her daughters, Robin Hammeal (Ralph), Urban of Marlborough, Lauren, Lisa Uihlein (Kurt) of Branford and Helen McGuigan (Cliff) of Westbrook; her grandchildren, Jason Cannan (Kasia) of Ivoryton, Tim Hammeal of Colorado, Colin Urban (Ellen) of St. Albans, Ben Uihlein (Adriana) of Madison, Nick Uihlein of New Haven, Kelsey Jeffery (Joshua) of West Columbia and Molly Czako (David) of Canton; her great grandchildren, Ava, Grayson Cannan of Ivoryton, Jonny, Kennedy and Joey Uihlein of Madison; her brother Mark Tamaccio (Jane) of Manchester; and her sister-in-law Barbara Tamaccio of Melbourne, Florida.. She is also survived by four daughters, adored their seven grandchildren and were blessed with five great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 24th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Mt. Carmel Congregational Church (3284 Whitney Ave, Hamden, CT 06518).
