It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Ann Delton of East Hartland, Connecticut, born in Fort Covington, New York, who passed away on January 7, 2024, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by : her husband Walter Delton, Sr.; her parents, Henry Patrick and Elmyra Donihee (Cramer); her son Timothy Paul Delton; her son-in-law Frank Perry; her grandson Glen Paul Delton; and her siblings, Patrick (Joyce Donihee), John "Jack" (Alberta Donihee), Joan (Bob Hodder), Barbara "Jane" (Stanley Simienski), Anthony "Tony D" (Dottie DiMastrantonio), Grace (Jack Wrana), Phillip "Gary" Donihee and Sally (Jim McMahon).
She is survived by : her children, Walter Delton, Jr. (Gloria) of Glastonbury, Bruce Delton (Claire) of Southwick, MA, David John Delton (Karen) of East Hartland, Nancy Perry of Barkhamsted and Barbara Jones of East Windsor; her sister-in-law Pierrette "Pete" Donihee of Windsor Locks; and her close friend Joanie Wainman. She is also survived by 17 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 20th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Hayes-Huling & Carmon Funeral Home (364 Salmon Brook St, Granby, CT 06035). A mass of christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Saint Therese Parish (120 N Granby Rd, Granby, CT 06026).
Memorial donations may be made to the East Hartland Volunteer Fire Department, 34 South Rd., East Hartland, CT 06027 and do what Jean Ann would do, pray for world peace.
