It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eleanor Phyllis Romano of Cheshire, Connecticut, born in New Haven, Connecticut, who passed away on January 16, 2024, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her spouse New Haven; her parents, Antonio Renda and Mary Renda (Basta); her son Damian; and her brother Anthony.
She is survived by : her daughters, Carolyn Buffinton (George) of Prospect and Marilyn Modzelewski (Eugene) of North Branford; her brother Alfred Renda of Southington; her grandchildren, Rebecca Roy (Brian), Jennifer Yokley (Kevin), Christopher Modzelewski (Yomaira), Sarah Modzelewski and Gregory Modzelewski (Enkela); and her great grandchildren, Griffin, Eleanor, Madelyn, Samantha, Carmine, Isabella, Mia and Lucas. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 21st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Homes - Cheshire (615 S Main St, Cheshire, CT 06410). A celebration of life will be held on Monday, January 22nd 2024 at 9:15 AM at the Alderson-Ford Funeral Home of Cheshire (615 S Main St, Cheshire, CT 06410). A mass of christian burial will be held on Monday, January 22nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Bridget of Sweden Parish (435 N Brooksvale Rd, Cheshire, CT 06410). A burial will be held on Monday, January 22nd 2024 at the St. Bridget Cemetery (144 Higgins Rd, Cheshire, CT 06410).
