She was predeceased by : her parents, Sylvia M. DiPietro and Charles Casalengo; her daughter Rachael Symonaitis Hoops of Berlin; her former life partner Charles Charamut; and her husband Gerald Symonaitis.
She is survived by : her children, William Charamut (Judy) of Wethersfield, Rebecca Charamut Cass (Michael) of Berlin and Charles Charamut (Damaris) of Crestview; her step-daughter Debbie Mills of Brandenburg, Kentucky.; her grandchildren, William Charamut, Ryan Charamut (Danielle), Abigail Shaw (Kevin), Trevor Charamut, Sean Cass, Briana Cass (David Bradley), Riley and Sydney Hoops; her great grandchildren, Jackson, Rowan, Bode Charamut, Tatum, McKinley and Hudson Shaw; her siblings, Roger Casalengo of Alexandria and Pamela Pethigal (Tom) of Berlin; and her close friend Nancy Casalengo (Bonnie Ferrero) of Berlin. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 21st 2024 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Newington Memorial (20 Bonair Ave, Newington, CT 06111). A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 22nd 2024 at 8:45 AM at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home (20 Bonair Ave, Newington, CT 06111). A mass of christian burial will be held on Monday, January 22nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St. Paul's Church (485 Alling St, Berlin, CT 06037).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The American Red Cross, Disaster Relief Program, and the Dementia Society of America.
