It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Dorothy M. Currie of East Haddam, Connecticut, born in Malden, Massachusetts, who passed away at the age of 94, on January 13, 2024. She was predeceased by : her husband Carl W. Currie; her sisters, Irene E. Haley and Shirley A. DiRaffaele; her brothers-in-law, Robert Haley and Robert DiRaffaele; and her parents, Howard F. Lucier and Rose Lucier (Matthews).
She is survived by : her children, Daniel P. Currie (Susan) of Colchester, Cathie A. Garofalo (Arthur) of East Hampton, Hollye B. Thomas (Mark) of East Hampton and Elizabeth J. Salie (Mark) of East Haddam; and her grandchildren, Skye Garofalo (Amanda), Natalie Garofalo, Jennifer, Brian, Marissa Currie, Christopher, Trenton Thomas, Jacqueline Kelfkens (Grant) and Vincent IV Garofalo (Krista). She is also survived by Five great grandchildren and four great- great grandchildren, well as ten nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 27th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Spencer Funeral Home (112 Main St, East Hampton, CT 06424). A prayer will be held on Saturday, January 27th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
