With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Francis J. Rio Jr. of Andover, Connecticut, born in New York, New York, who passed away on January 19, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by : his brother James Rio; his siblings-in-law, Rick Lantz, Ronald LaMonica and Jeri Wilson; and his parents, Dr. Francis J. Rio and Celeste Rio.
He is survived by : his wife Mary Ann Wilson Rio; his children, Kim (George) of Berlin, CT, Dale Rio (William) of Philadelphia, PA, Francis of Portales, NM, Brian (Taryn) of New Hartford, NY and Kevin Rio (Danielle) of Seattle, WA.; his siblings, Margaret Lantz of Charlottesville, VA and Donald Rio of Berkeley, CA.; his sisters-in-law, Margaret Fain (Ernie) and Claire LaMonica; and also, Edward, David (Susan), John (Sabina) and Paul Wilson (Donna).
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 26th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the John F Tierney Funeral Home (219 W Center St, Manchester, CT 06040). A mass of christian burial will be held on Friday, January 26th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the St. Maurice Church (32 Hebron Rd, Bolton, CT 06043).
