He was predeceased by : his parents, German and Helen Schmeer (Szeszinski); and his brother Erich Schmeer of Wolcott. He is survived by : his wife Patricia "Patty" Schmeer (Geary); his children, Deborah "Debbie" Schmeer Birkett of Culpeper, VA and David Schmeer of Waterbury; his brother Alfred Schmeer of Waterbury; his granddaughters, Carrie, Lauren and Mackenzie; his sister-in-law Susan Schmeer of Wolcott; his sister Kathy; and his siblings-in-law, Roland Ouellette and Cynthia Northrop. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews and grand-nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 25th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Hickcox Funeral Home (195 Main St, Watertown, CT 06795). A mass of christian burial will be held on Friday, January 26th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Church of the Nativity (48 East St, Bethlehem, CT 06751).
