It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Rene R. Cormier of Bristol, Connecticut, born in Sanford, Maine, who passed away on January 20, 2024, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by : his parents, Emil Cormier and Cora Cormier (Pelletier); his brothers, Donald, Rosaire and Gerard Cormier; and his step-sons, Kenneth and Russell Ouellette.
He is survived by : his children, Brenda Saucier (Chuck) of Bristol and Rodney Cormier of Bristol; his sister Mary Jane Bougie of Alfred, ME; his grandchildren, Eric Saucier (Genn Santiago) of Terryville and Lisa Newton (Sean) of Wolcott; his great grandchildren, Michael, Mason Newton of Wolcott and Braydon Czarnowski of Terryville; and his step-children, Marsha Royce of Old Saybrook and Donald Ouellette (Louise) of Plainville. He is also survived by five step-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 25th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Funk Funeral Home (35 Bellevue Ave, Bristol, CT 06010). A mass of christian burial will be held on Thursday, January 25th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the St. Matthew Church (120 Church Ave, Bristol, CT 06010).
